Bust into dance?
Naturally.
Nothing like a quick boyband-style dance number to loosen up those joints after being frozen for so long. See, now the random choreography doesn’t seem as random anymore:
The music video for the group’s debut single, “Awakening”, as promised, premiered December 16th on YanTV.

awwwwww i love how they’re all rocking the orange hairrr…no not really they looked so much better with their original hair!
the mv video is awesome though!
VN music industry is finally catching up!
December 19, 2010 at 2:06 PM
Very nice MV! Chris Le did a good job! But I wished the band had done a better job with the dance, they seemed kind of lazy or out of it, which ruined the MV a little bit. My favorites are Isaac, Will, and Tronie!!
December 19, 2010 at 2:54 PM
And I didn’t like their Christmas MV. It’s too “asian” and I didn’t like a lot of their movements, especially the S.T. guy, but Isaac and Will are so cute <3
December 19, 2010 at 5:23 PM
They should have went all out and hired a pro choreographer
December 19, 2010 at 6:27 PM
I think Tronie did the choreo. Wasn’t bad, better than no movements or not in syn one. I think they are off to a good start, more improvements is needed. Personally, I think Issac is the only one who can sing. I feel like the boy sings almost all of the song. Will sings pretty good in Viet and Tronie doesn’t sound as bad rapping but he really needs to make his vocals sounds more soothing and less harsh sounding. Keep going and become the best group 365! Go Vn!!
December 19, 2010 at 6:55 PM
not bad…but i hope they continue to train and practise…because there’s a few areas they still need to improve in. about their engrish. I suppose for people who are familar to english it’s funny…but they are not that bad…i could still understand them which is a lot better then those i don’t even understand at all. For Vietnamese in Vietnam..i suppose they wouldn’t notice nor mind.
December 19, 2010 at 8:39 PM
unstable… please…
abort.
December 19, 2010 at 9:00 PM
mmm…a lot better than I expected it to be. And a lot better after listening to the full song more than once now. Issac and Will are the only two that can really sing well…the rest are okay.
December 19, 2010 at 9:40 PM
issac and troine and jun
December 19, 2010 at 11:34 PM
lol
I liked the christmas mv more than the awakening one.
They’re cute with better than average voices.
Give them a chance people.
December 20, 2010 at 12:10 AM
@wtfb how so? haha, i like the MV alot. best i seen from vietnam. The xmas video was a low quality video? I’m confused.
December 20, 2010 at 9:33 AM
@duktb wtfb actually has a point…
I think 365 can do better in English than Vietnamese. That’s why I found the Christmas MV a lil better. But the MV of Awakening, I agree, is much more interesting. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite like the tune, though it was kinda the best of Vpop I’ve seen till now…
December 20, 2010 at 4:54 PM
*facepalm* their christmas mv just makes me think that they’re high off of drugs or something. I felt like killing myself watching that guy popping up in front of the camera acting like he’s all ‘cute’ =_=’ BUT! overall. Issac’s voice just needs some more practise and he’ll be extremely good in english. While the other guys *cough* will be needing JUST more then practising. But their voice in english aren’t all that bad, just needs more practise and they’ll be pro.
Just wondering, are all these guys from Vietnam or Americans?
December 20, 2010 at 5:21 PM
@^: i think all the guys r from Vietnam. Not sure bout Issac though he English is pretty good. He can speak in English without long pauses or ums. I’m surprise with his English.
December 20, 2010 at 8:00 PM
1- The concept of this MV is great but the dance part is not so much. They stil need to practices more. They look too stiff while they were dancing.
December 20, 2010 at 9:16 PM
Agreed with the people up there. The dancing needs some work. But I thought this was a pretty good debut. I’ll expect more from them when they perform live and their next comeback.
I love the xmas MV. It was very cute.. even with the Engrih overdose.
@Snoie and asdfghjkl
I read on soompi that Isaac is from Can Tho. o.o
December 20, 2010 at 9:26 PM
ISAAC!!!!!!!!!!!! he’s good! i love his bad day cover =)
December 21, 2010 at 7:32 PM
this bunch of korean wannabes is an insult to viet
December 21, 2010 at 10:33 PM
@emyeuVpop: wow. Didn’t kno that. So they all from Vn then. Idk but Issac will pass as “from the states/USA”. Lol. Out of all guys, he can speak n write in English really well!!
December 21, 2010 at 11:15 PM
@Chris
OMG.. another one!
How are they a bunch of Korean wannabes? They’ve only been singing in Vietnamese, English, Chinese, and Japanese. If you’re talking about their style, you must know they have a stylist, right? It’s not like they patched up their own clothes and cut their own hair! They even expressed discomfort with their new hairstyles.
Koreans don’t own dyed/layered hair, preppy clothes – nor did they start them. Seriously, keep your comment to yourself or people will just think you’re ignorant.
Before insulting others, do a little research.
@Snoie
Yeah, I don’t know if it’s true, I just read it. I agree. Although there is still some Engrish here and there, he’s still awesome.
December 22, 2010 at 11:09 AM
Lol. When I read Chris’s comment I thought of Chris Le. Lol. I’m waiting for a female version of 365. I would to see themmake our music appeal more to other Asians and the rest of the world, especially USA. Did u kno that the Thailand pop is getting better and better? I hope we can get there too! If 365 can beat K-otic or get the same level, they are stepping towards bigger achievement for VN! Go 365 n VN!!!!!!!
December 22, 2010 at 2:13 PM
@Chris
No, YOU are an insult to Vietnamese
December 22, 2010 at 9:58 PM
@Chris. lol Korean didn’t invent boy band/idols you know..nor did they invent music and pop music to be exact. I really dislike how people associate all groups other then from Korean to be korean wannabe…..do the research before making that claim. The world doesn’t evolve around Kpop.
December 23, 2010 at 5:23 PM
@^: Totally tru!!! Lol. First sensational popular international boyband from what I know from the music history is the Beatles and other British groups. Then came US BackStreetBoys n Nsyn and other groups. Then came China n Japan’s boyband. Currently the Koreans. So basically, shut up about us copying Koreans or being a wannabe. Don’t get me started about the fashion history. T-T
December 24, 2010 at 12:34 AM
Their Christmas video is a little too much…they’re trying to hard to be cute haha but I’m not gonna lie, Tronnie is lookin’ real cute! I’ve got my eyes on him hahaha
December 24, 2010 at 12:56 AM
Does anybody know where I can get my hands on their album when it releases? I want to support them and buy one.
December 25, 2010 at 12:27 AM

December 31, 2010 at 2:16 PM
@Snoie: I like 365 better than K-otic. I always saw K-otic as a joke (can’t rap and barely can dance in sync).
Not being bias either because I’m not Vietnamese. I like what I hear from ‘awakening’.
December 31, 2010 at 7:40 PM
@BIP: R u Thai?
I must say that K-otic can sing and they did appear at the Asia Song Frstival 2009, which means they have lots of fans. I’m not too sure about the raps, but the rap in My Boo was pretty good. Imo 2 of the K-otic member, the jap and korean one, have wonderful vocals! In their recent mv, K-otics dance is good! Kamikaze is getting better n better gud to compete with the koreans!! Im viet and I kno that Tronie’s vocals needs to be improved so that the raps don’t sound harsh to the ears. Again, 2 members of 365 have good vocals, Will n Issac. Dance wise, they still need to improve. I kno Tronie can dance, be he still needs to keep practicing n make his choreo better n more pro like. Lol. Srry for the long cm. Go VN!
December 31, 2010 at 9:55 PM
@Bip and Snoie
I like some of K-otic’s songs, but I feel like the group is just too random. I’m not racist or anything, but I don’t understand why majority of the group isn’t even Thai. Most of the songs I’ve listened to by them includes at least three languages in ONE song. My favorite songs by them are “My girl” and “Free to play”. Both those songs have four languages in them. I know they’re trying to reach out to other Asian countries, but it’s unnecessary and confusing. A lot of Korean groups have members from other Asian countries as well, but those non-Korean members still sing in Korean and rap in Korean/English.
I prefer Kamikaze girl groups > boy groups. My friend introduced me to this group called Swee: D and I really like them. I like Waii, too.
I understand if people say some of the 365 members can’t sing. I mean, EVERY group nowaday needs a rapper, a dancer, main/supporting vocalists, and an eye candy. Clearly, Tronie is the dancer/rapper, Will and Isaac are the main vocalists, and Jun and S.T are the supporting vocalists. I think all of the members are eye candy though. lol
Eye candies from other groups can’t really sing and only get a few lines in a song. As long as the main vocalists deliver (and I think Isaac and Will do), it’s fine.
And I agree with Snoie, even though Tronie is the dancer/rapper of the group, he needs to improve a lot. His rapping is harsh to the ear if you’re listening for the first time. But I got used to it and found myself rapping along after listening to “Awakening” so many times. >.<
December 31, 2010 at 10:53 PM
@emyeuVpop: I like Swee:D too! Their newest song is cute n catchy. Wish our girl group could get up there too! I guess vocals can make a language sound better if we pick the right people to sing the songs. Candy Mafia is good too along with Sugar eyes. We need better vocals! Not just looks! Go VN! P.S.: to the VN Music Entertainment: plz make our language sound soothing to other people’s ears by picking the right words for the song and the right people to sing it! Thnx. Go VietChannel n Go VN! P.s.s: plz update more VietChannel.
Love u guys!
January 1, 2011 at 1:48 AM
They’re not bad…but omg….the instrumental music is basically daft punk’s derezzled (from tron ost)
January 1, 2011 at 11:32 AM
@Snoie
Are you talking about “Stop it”? That song is so bubbly and cute.
And the choreography is good too. I think female groups and singers have better materials than male in Kamikaze. Idk, I’m not that impressed with the boy groups they produced.
I agree, vocals play a large role in a language. That’s why I like Bao Thy. Despite her scandals and how many people hate her, I really love her voice. It’s very unique and fits both ballads and upbeat songs. And I really do think she is improving. Her lives are great as well, if only she sang live more often. Have you heard her recent songs? “Da Nghi” is really good.
I don’t know a lot of Vietnamese girl groups, and the ones I do know, I’m not impressed with. That’s why I’m really anticipating the female version of 365.
I think we need to improve on music videos and choreography the most. I wish the directors were a little more creative making MVs. :/
@Mary517
hmm, it has kind of the same feel, but I don’t think it’s that similar. Maybe it’s just me. But darn, it would really suck if it is.
Happy new year, everyone.
January 2, 2011 at 2:03 PM
@ ^: Yup, that’s the song! Yeah, I like Bao Thy’s voice as well, but I don’t like how she would cover other people’s songs back then. I get disappointed when I finally knew that it wasn’t composed by us Viet. Now that she sang more original songs, she will be able to turn antis to fans. Nope, haven’t heard of it yet. Will definitely check it out thanks! I would recommend “Vi Sao” by Khoi My Ft. Hoang Rapper. This song is really is good and the rap doesn’t sound harsh and its catchy too! Yup, not liking any girl group at the moment that we produced. We seriously need more potential groups as well as solo artists. Yup, yup, I hoping our videos can be as HD as the Koreans, and Choreo more original and dance worthy. I am still a bit disappointed with the MV of 365, hope the next one will be better better better! Co Len 365 and VN!
January 2, 2011 at 10:44 PM
@Snoie
I don’t like how Bao Thy cover songs either, but if you think about it, A LOT of artists do. Although I wish she didn’t cover all those songs, there are artists that have done more than her and are much more popular than her. Which is why I think it’s unfair for her to get bashed on. But I have seen antis turning into fans which is awesome! When she was on 2idol, the place was filled.
I think she needs this type of encouragement to keep doing what she’s doing now, that’s why I’ll support her. It seems like Bao Thy isn’t covering songs anymore, but choreography. >.< lol
It sucks to think that this is how a lot Vietnamese artists remain popular (and hated) in the industry.
OMG! I love Vi Sao. I really like Khoi My. <3
TBH, I don't really like a lot of Vietnamese rappers. I like Suboi and that's about it. lol It's sad, I know. Have you heard of the group, Vpop on Van Son Entertainment? The rapper in that group was really good. His rapping isn't harsh to the ears, it's quite soothing and pleasant to listen to. But I think the group isn't active anymore, so there's no point in mentioning that really. I also like Chosen, but he doesn't rap in Vietnamese.
I couldn't agree more. We need more HD videos. We're slowing getting there though. A lot of Vietnamese people still have old TVs (some don't even have one), so I guess HD isn't really what they're worried about right now. 365's MV was pretty good. There is room for improvement, but for now, I think it's okay. But Bao Thy's recent MVs have been in HD.
January 3, 2011 at 8:41 PM
@emyeuVpop: I’m a viet artist supporter. I don’t like how people diss on us Viets even when the song is original! Those pple think Kpop is everything while we other Asians are just copies.
The worst thing is that it’s us Viet who are the one saying stuff about us. Yup, I love Vpop’s vocals n harmony! Yup, I love Choosen raps 2! I also like Thaifoons rap in one of Cat Tiens song n his viet raps in Andy quach’s song too! Yup, love HD! Less painful to watch! Lol.
Dear VietChannel: I would love some updates if that is possible!
thx!
If only I can read Viet fluently, I would have pitch in to help. Lol. Takes me a few hours to read a full article in viet. I know the accent marks, but they don’t know me. Lol.
January 4, 2011 at 12:12 PM
I support Viet artists too. Seriously, it pisses me off when people diss us. But it just shows how ignorant and biased they are. Even the almighty Kpop plagiarizes. Get over it. It makes me sad to see our own people put down Vpop. Does it hurt to do a little research and find out other artists does it as well?
Ah! Thaifoon is a good rapper. I like him in Minh Tuyet’s songs “Mai mat nhau trong doi” and “Dung hua voi em”. Although, I do find his lyrics a little.. weird. o.o
Haha, a few hours to read a full article? That’s cute. I have trouble with Vietnamese sometimes, but I can understand it pretty well. I follow up on Vpop a lot, but I’m not what Vietchannel is looking for. LOL I’m too blunt and offend people easily. I don’t have a sense of humor or ways wth words either. Oh well.
January 4, 2011 at 6:19 PM
The only problem with VPOP is that they lack the equipments and technology, to top it off their singers/dancers lack their energetic appeals to their viewers and enthusiasm too. They don’t appear to be very interested in the dance, but sometimes when they do. It looks as if they’re being forced. Also They are too fricking camera shy, the korean however knows what it takes to make a good KPOP video. It’s only because they’re somewhat 25 years ahead of us, we started late BUT! we are SLOOWY getting there. Just needs some improvement here and there and TA DA! we are right next to these fuckers LOL
But although the koreans may have the 2 areas that VPOP lacks, they still in a way lack something that’s even more important and that is their singers STRONG voice. Have you ever noticed when you watch a live performances by Wonder Girls, 2NE1, etc. So on that their voices are a lot quitter then it is in the videos, it’s almost like a whisper and sometimes it appears like the singers themselves are uncomfortable with their surroundings. While VPOP’s voice aren’t THAT quite. It’s not too quite and the singers don’t always give out that awkward atmosphere.
The only thing that VPOP needs to improved on are their equipment, dances and the music. Their dancers needs to stay on track and their directors however NEEDS! to notice when it’s necessary to edit things out or in.
Sometimes when you watch VPOP’s dance videos and the dancers screws up real bad or the main singer. It’s mostly the director’s fault because they’re too LAZY to tell them to when to stop and restart or tell them the mistakes that they’re making. Also we can basically tell when someone’s being real cheap with their production.
WE may have lousy dancers, but when it comes to songs with good lyrics and voice. We are not all that behind because REALLY! when most of the KPOP’s songs are translated into english. It sounds really retarded.
So next time… IF VPOP singers/dancers practice, work HARD on their dances and the directors spent MORE times re-watching the videos and edit things then BAMM! in YOUR FACE KPOP! LOL
January 4, 2011 at 6:31 PM
P.S
– I still can’t get over the FACT that no Vietnamese represented Vietnam at the ASF in Korea.
BUT! if there’s one then I REALLY! hope that he or she will sing IN VIETNAMESE! not effing Korean, Japanese, OR ENGLISH!
it was actually pretty professional JUST… she lacks balance. BUT she looked H.O.T >:} I wished they would zoom in more on her face.. so that she’ll be recognized by those KOREANS
)
You’re supposed to REPRESENT Vietnamese’s music NOT! theirs-_- BUT althought Ho Ngoc Ha’s song/performances weren’t that bad
P.S.S
- It is true that she was lip-singing at ASF???? cuz really.. I can literally hear her breathing like a COW after Apologize. Her high pitch ass voice and her breathing on the microphone just irritates me LOL and that SUBOI double chick pisses me off
January 4, 2011 at 7:50 PM
The MV is actually pretty good. But Johnny Tri Nguyen did a terrible job with the martial arts choreography, which I believe ruined the MV more than their dance did. Their recent live performances weren’t too good, only Isaac did a decent job singing, therefore they have a long way to go, and need many more years of practice. Anticipating for their next MV, I hope soon!!
January 4, 2011 at 8:34 PM
@emyeuVpop: I kno that Kpop copies alot n they even cover American songs! Yet, Kpop addicts fans don’t even care n they even support that! So wen some Asians do covers they make it a big deal eventhough it might not even be Kpop. Yes, they even make such big deals with dance choreo n outfits/costumes! I just angry at how they are so freaken racist n mean. They didn’t even invented any of that, fashion, music, or dance choreo! When u face a Kpop addicts blinded cuz of their love for Kpop. Two words: Bo Tay. Can’t argue with people that are unreasonable n don’t even make sense. :/
Yeah his raps are kinda weird but if u listen to it a couple of times, it starts to make sense. :0 lol. Trust me it’s not cute.
I feel a like a retard who can’t read. Especially when I read it out loud, I tried saying a word differently in diff tones, my family would laugh at me trying to figure out word it was in the sentence. Lol. I don’t have ways with words either. Very bad at making jokes. :/ I’m not a funny type. But being blunt in a dumb way. Yes. Lol.
January 4, 2011 at 8:54 PM
@ asdfghjkl; LOL!!! I couldnt agree more! Very true! Technology is definitely needed along with choreo n unique fashion! I hope we will get in there face soon n become a good challenger towards Kpop! Lol. Me too! Im very angry n disappointed. You know wat? I don’t even think ASF is even fair! Possibly they didn’t want us there or wat? I think they are unfair due the fact that every year it is hosted at THEIR COUNTRY n not other Asian countries. Seriously? N they call themselves “ASIA” Song festival. They have the most reps for their country. They dont even deserve that title. It should be change to Korean Song Fest. IMO, I think this is to gain more money from tourist n fans of different countries. If we viet ever get as big as them, we should be fair n let our Asian fest be celebrated in other countries as well. Then the title “Asia” or “Asian” could be used without any disagreements.
YES, HNH was Lipsyncing for Apology only n her last song Girls Nite was live. Too bad SUBOI wasn’t there.
January 4, 2011 at 8:58 PM
@hmm: I love Baby Don’t Cry even with a million times repeats of the song title in the song. Lol. Yes, can’t wait to see Gao’s story in their MV. BTW, anyone know her story? Just heard the story is a tragic one n it was based off herself n her love life. I would love to read it even if it’s in Viet. Lol.
January 4, 2011 at 9:01 PM
@ hmm: I believe Will was just as good singing live. Just that Jun n ST n Tronie needs more practice. Y does it seems to me that ST seems to lip-syncing his part?
I love Will n Issac’s vocals. Go VN!
January 4, 2011 at 11:27 PM
@asdfghjkl;
Totally agree with you. But what pisses me off is when people give Korea all the credit (even if they are able to produce better videos than us). If they have better resources, there should be no plagiarism issues for their videos AND songs. I hate how Korea get the credit for EVERYTHING (no exaggeration) when really, Japan and America are fueling their fame. Korean dramas are based of Japanese mangas and dramas. They don’t own Boys Over Flowers, but they automatically put down other countries when there were rumors about other countries making it too. What’s even worse is they said the Japanese and Taiwanese versions are bad. People’s opinion varies, but seriously, the Korean one had BAD acting. The only thing distracting the bad acting are the “good looking” casts.
Vpop CAN improve their dancing if they hire the right people. I know for sure major Korean companies hire American dancers to choreograph their groups’ dances. Which goes back to my point earlier, America and Japan are fueling their fame.
I couldn’t agree with you more. Although we lack creativity, but our songs and lyrics are better. I can’t get over ASF last year either. I’m sure ONE of our singers could have made it.
I think I have a hint of why there wasn’t a representative at ASF though. I don’t know if you guys follow up with both Kpop and Vpop, but when SNSD came to Vietnam, there was a little boycott against them. I don’t know if that triggered some sort of anger for them, but it is questionable since the group came right before ASF.
I don’t know if she was lipsyncing for “My Apology” but for sure, she was singing live for “Girl’s Night”. Each singer/group present at ASF got to sing two songs, but only one of those songs were broadcasted. Obviously, “My Apology” was the one.
@Snoie
Yes, I hate the reaction we get from them. We’re so looked down upon which is why I also hate it when Vietnamese fans put down their own people when we’re still developing.
I don’t know if any of you have watched the drama “Golden Bride” but I was seriously pissed off by it. I don’t know how to explain it well, but the main actress (who is Korean) that played a Vietnamese girl was so unfit. They character is too annoying, needy, and desperate (something Vietnamese women are not). Vietnamese women are quite strong and can defend for their family. The writer for the series is too condescending towards us. Not to mention, the character gets excited at EVERYTHING as if things don’t exist in Vietnam. Way to stereotype us.
What really ticked me off was when the girl arrived at the Korean airport, she was wearing an Ao Dai. Everybody (Korean) was laughing at her and the people who picked her up got embarassed and made her changed into Korean clothes (which was really Western clothes). >:O
I thought that was very insulting. Many of us take a lot of pride in our traditional dress. That scene was very unnecessary. How would they like it if we made fun of their Hanbok (which I think isn’t as beautiful as our Ao Dai)?
There was another scene where two Koreans came to Ha Noi and the first thing that happened was they were robbed. I mean, are you serious? I know it happens in Viet Nam, but it does EVERYWHERE, EVEN IN KOREA. What does that say about our country? It probably makes people not want to visit Viet Nam. ugh.
I think it’s sick the way Vietnamese people (or women in this case) are depicted by Koreans. They are just “whores” for unemployed, ill men because the richer, good looking men all go for Korean women.
IT’S IGNORANT AND OUTRAGEOUS. I was so offended watching that drama. Excuse me for expressing love and defense for my people and country after we’ve been stepped on so badly.
Seriously, Vietnamese people and others need to open their eyes and stop giving in to these manipulations.
This is why I’m not fit as a writer. I can’t control my anger towards these kind of things. >.<
@hmm
I thought their first stage was shaky, only Isaac and Will did well. But they did better for their second performance. But like I said, I don't think the song did them justice. I've seen their debut show and they performed "Baby don't cry" really well. Maybe it's because they weren't dancing in that performance. I thought S.T was lipsyncing in their second performance too. o.o
January 4, 2011 at 11:44 PM
Also, I’d like to add Vietnamese CAN dance. Like I said, we just need better choreographers. I’ve watched Vietnamese shows here and we are definately talented. Even the older generation can (proven by Paris By Night’s Celebrity Dancing videos). I was so shocked to see the older generation such as Huong Lan and Thanh Tuyen do the Waltz and Tango. For someone who has never had experience in dancing whatsoever, they were awesome at it.
Even the ones who sing nhac que huong can do these ballroom/Latin dances.
And let’s not forget the very famous Jabbawockeez and Kaba Modern. There are Vietnamese members in both crews.
If only Vietnamese artists in Vietnam are exposed to these kind of stuff like the Korean are, we can definately be better.
January 5, 2011 at 12:36 AM
@asdfghjkl;, snoie, and emyeuvpop I agree with most of what you three have said!! Kpop is so overrated, and yes they plagiarize A LOT, but no one complains about it, which really makes me question why and how. One of 2ne1 one’s song had a part from the “barbie girl” song. No one said anything about that, but Vpop gets accused of copying another song when there’s no similarity to the other song at all. -_- I think S.T. was lip syncing during the second performance. Actually I believe the only person singing live was Isaac, while Tronie was semi-singing live. Kinda disappointed because they lip sync. And yes, I meant to say that Isaac and Will are the only ones who sings good live, but the second performance Will was definitely lipsyncing.
January 5, 2011 at 1:03 AM
@hmm
I think the singers get away with it because they don’t compose the songs, there are people for that. But that’s no excuse because it’s the same for Vietnamese singers. They have people composing for them as well. The only one I know who compose her own songs is Bao Thy.
But G-Dragon from Big Bang composes his own songs too. I don’t care what anybody or his company says, he totally ripped off Flo Rida’s “Right Round”. Only stupid people would believe him. Bao Thy copies as well, but she has NEVER denied it. I remember coming across paperwork that allowed Bao Thy to cover some of those songs a long time ago. I don’t even know why people even bash her. They should just do more research. It’s so stupid, Kpop fans put down Vpop every chance they get.
Which 2ne1 song are you referring to? I’d like to give it a listen. About almost all of 2ne1′s hit songs have been under plagiarism accusations. Even popular groups like Wonder Girls, SNSD, Kara, 2pm, Beast, and much more. They’ve all had songs that were plagiarized. Seriously, Kpop is a joke. The ONLY thing I can give them somewhat credit for is the creative dance, but it isn’t by them either. lol
Yeah, it was pretty obvious S.T lipsynced. Tronie and Jun for sure sang with back tracks. I’m not too sure about Will. I would have to watch the performance again.

@ asdfghjkl;, emyeuVpop, Hmm:
OMG! I didn’t know that emyeuVpop! They are freaken racists and have no thought into studying other people’s traditions and cultures before they put it on screen! Like I said, they only care about themselves and how to help their economy grow. Yes, I know if we have American choreo our dances, we would be just a good as Kpop! Yes, even better if the choreographer is actually Vietnamese American. I seen couples of them on youtube teaching Viets how to dance! That is awesome. I’ve also seen that younger generations now-a-days are into dancing and competing, all this up-to-date modern stuff. I believe chi Nu aka Dong Nhi is a composer as well, did some covers, but she mostly composed her own songs, like Boi Roi, Mua Nuoc Mat, Loi Thu Thoi Ngot Ngao, Chi The Thoi, and lots more songs. and not to mention Wanbi with Chap Chanh, Cho Em, Doi Mat. Not too sure about Will lip-syncing. They are in the process of making Baby Don’t Cry. I’m excited for this MV! Looks really HD in their facebook BTS pics. ^^
Agree, agree, agree! Lol. We four should form a girl group or something. lol Since we strongly believe that Vpop CAN be just as famous or even better than Kpop if we put more effort into it.

@Snoie
LMAO! That’s such a great idea. I’ll start having lessons asap! Just kidding. I think I’m better off at co-directing. I’ll make sure those artists don’t look too sloppy and out of place dancing, etc.
There are some Koreans that I think are really cool, but the majority have a little too much pride. I have pride too, but I’m not blinded by it and can admit our country and singers have flaws.
I’ve seen videos on Youtube where Koreans (not all) were proven to be Austronesian. And if you look at old maps of Asia, Koreans used to live in the South. I find it a bit hypocritical for them to look down on us, when their ancestors are from the South. They migrated to northeast Asia and began breeding with northerners.
Japan is advanced as well and is more widely accepted in Western countries than Korea but they are not condescending. So I don’t get it.
I forgot about Dong Nhi covering songs. Maybe it’s because she hasn’t done much. But she’s never denied it for the songs she did cover. That’s the problem with Kpop. If you stole, don’t deny it (especially when it’s so obvious).
I’ve heard Baby don’t cry. It’s soooo good. Tronie’s rap in the song is so deep and meaningful. <3
The pics looks really cool. I'm anticipating it.
January 5, 2011 at 10:51 PM
@ ^: Lol. Yeah, we could give good advice on their MV n concepts 2.
I agree, theydo have too much pride in their country that it become unfair. I believe the Japanese are the one who came up with the fashion, hairstyle, concept that the Koreans are using. So the Koreans aren’t even original to began with, yet they (and Kpop fans) says everything belongs to kpop n others are copies. >_<
Yup, chi Nu didn't denied it. I still love the songs she composed herself overr the covers anyways. Lol. Yes, Seung Ri's uses of the beat ftom Sexy Back by Justin was obvious but others keep denying it and saying Seung Ri's song was better. T-T I love the song! Hoping the release will be very soon! Can't wait!!!
Lol. I'm whining too much about the whole unfair Kpop thing.
Oh well, that's life for ya.
I guess everyone is busy with school. That's why updates aren't possible at the moment. Go VietChannel!!! Please update soon!!! I visit this site everyday for update. As if Im a stalker. Lol. Go VN!!!
January 5, 2011 at 11:19 PM
@Snoie
Yeah, it’s very unfair and hypocritical.
I remember when Thuy Tien was under fire for the song “Chang trai thang 12″ because it has a similiar beat to “Strong baby”. People were defending SeungRi and said he and his company should sue Thuy Tien. That made me laugh because YG isn’t going to a thing about Thuy Tien’s song being similiar to Seungri because “Strong baby” isn’t even original in the first place. And I do recall that SeungRi said his idol is Justin T, so him having such a similiar song is questionable.
LOL People are so deluded, it’s sad.
Japan is very original compared to Korea but a lot of the idols are still humble.
My favorite song is “Khoc” by Dong Nhi. .<
January 5, 2011 at 11:23 PM
my comment got cut off. :/
I really like the songs on her latest album as well. Her covers aren’t that great tbh.
LOL who cares? Everybody complains. We’re just trying to defend our artists, so I wouldn’t really call it whining.
I visit this site everyday too.
January 6, 2011 at 10:46 AM
@emyeuVpop: Lol. I notice u go here everyday too.
Khoc was the song I first heard her sing. I loved the song along with her other ones too!
I see, but even the Viets are the one who made it such a big deal on soompi, so other Asian can get in on dissing Thuy Tien n supporting SeungRi. T-T
Yay! Finally updates!!!! Thx VietChannel!
January 6, 2011 at 12:02 PM
@Snoie
Lol I really like this site, that’s why I visit often.
I think the first song I heard by Dong Nhi was “Chang baby Milo”. I hated it and didn’t gain interest in her right away. But when she came out with “khoc” and “boi roi” I started to like her.
Yeah, sometimes Vietnamese people are the ones to judge first, that’s why I find them unfair. I don’t visit soompi often, just when there was a post for 365. I don’t know, the people are there can get pretty annoying.
January 6, 2011 at 7:37 PM
@emyeuVpop: me too! I visit this site at least twice a day and sometimes more than that. Lol. Khoc was the song that got me into supporting her as well but Mua Nuoc Mat n Loi Thu Toi Ngot Ngao made me a big fan of hers!
I visit soompi to know what is going on with their entertainment. Lol, I’m nosy. XD I like to see how they develop their stars n see what type music they produce etc. So far, I believe their fashion is getting weirder n weirder not to mention shorter n shorter. Too the point of exposing lots of skin and other things not needed. T-T I do think some of their singers/groups does have the vocals, especially when they perform live n dancing at the same time. Which is really tiring, yet they still maintain a good vocal.
January 7, 2011 at 12:33 AM
@Snoie
Same here! I visit this site at least twice a day.
Khoc was the first song that made me support her as well. I don’t like Mua nuoc mat as much, but I do love Loi thu toi ngot ngao. I also like her collabs with Ngo kien huy.
I agree, their fashion is getting a little too weird. Although I like the group 2ne1, I can’t deny that their stylist is heavily influenced by Lady Gaga or the songs they sing by Rihanna. Their fashion is extremely weird some times.
Yeah! I noticed they’re not as conservative anymore. Nowadays, it’s like girl groups showing their legs and guy groups flashing their abs is a must. Yep, their singers do have the vocal, but too bad the ones that can really sing aren’t as popular. I find that a lot of them still run out of breath though.
January 7, 2011 at 8:29 PM
@ emyeuVpop: Yup. I like their nghi ngo song and I love her collab with Noo on Neu.
2ne1 ‘s style used to be not weird, until clap your hands came out. Idk, the gaga wave exploded n now everyone starts to look weird too. Even big starts like hyori can’t escape that. Lol. The guy group is also affected as well. Yes, most of their lives aren’t good eventhough they tried to hide it with the playback of the vocals in the background. That is a smart idea! That way if their tired, the background vocals will help them catch a breath or two! Lol. But vocally talented is not bad! Even better if they can sing n sound just like the mv/mp3 while dancing!
January 9, 2011 at 11:36 AM
@Snoie
I prefer Nu’s collabs with Bap more.
I was so disappointed when Clap your hands came out. Their style got extremely weird and the songs on the new album weren’t as good. OMG.. I truly hated Hyori’s comeback. It was so wrong. The songs on her album were mostly plagiarized (not her fault) and her style was too try-hard. I prefer her sexy concepts more. But when she came out in really heavy eyeliner and crazy hair, I was like ..
She’s trying to keep up with the younger singers, I know. But it was awkward. Even Perez Hilton blogged about how her Chitty chitty bang bang MV, and how it was obviously similar to Lady gaga and Beyonce.
I know, and the groups lipsynced to the chorus. But I’ll admit, they do more dancing, so it’s understandable.
January 9, 2011 at 1:36 PM
i thought im the only one that think kpop is overrated
i totally agreed w/ u two ( emyeuvpop and snoie)
n_n
January 11, 2011 at 10:42 PM
@emyeuVpop: Yes, I agree. Hyori should have stick with her sexy and cute look. Weird isn’t her thing. Yes, 2NE1′s style turned from hip-hop to kinda weird. Lol. I didn’t even know her songs were plagiarized until someone pointed it out. Poor girl tricked into thinking it was original and now she has to pay the price by laying low on any promotions for her album. Love her U Go Girl song tho!
Lol, yeah Britney and Gaga = Hyori. ^O^ Yeah, they sure do alot of dancing!
@yayyay: lol. idk, i still listen to some kpop though.
Just the style is getting weirder and weirder. Heavy eyeliner is now a must on kpop guy groups. O_O Is this to emphasis their eyes or what? Wouldn’t it feel weird to know that your BF is wearing the same eyeliner as you or even uses eyeliner?!?! :O Some to make his small eyes look bigger, but heavy eyeliner is just…weird…
Kpop’s IN is Eyeliner Now. Later, maybe even makeup soon? i.e.: eyeshadow, lipliner and blushes? lol.
January 11, 2011 at 11:19 PM
@Snoie
Agree. I was kind of embarassed for her when she came back. It sucks how her comeback was mostly plagiarized.. considering she hasn’t been active in a while. I follow up on 2ne1 quite a lot, and since the beginning, they said even if other groups change their concept, they will stay true to hip hop. But lately, their new songs seems more .. soft techno/r&b/pop-ish. I don’t know. I never got a hip hop feel from them. Their debut song was more of reggae and “I don’t care” wasn’t really hip hoppy. I totally lost interest in them when they came out with their new album.
I liked U go girl at first, but I got tired of it. haha The “gurl” part annoyed me.
Really? I think Britney = Boa. Gaga = Hyori. Even though Hyori was accused of copying Britney, I felt Boa had more similarities.
@yayyay
I thought I was too because a lot of my friends are really into kpop. I was too at first, but after a while, I saw nothing special about it, really.
I think eye liner on guys is weird. o_o
August 17, 2011 at 7:23 PM
Bunches of sore losers complaining of being a loser here.
Let me just ask a question. If you guys hate kpop so much, well that’s just fine because i also do think kpop is overrated, why do you guys cherish a stupid band like 365 ? Because it’s just a VIETNAMESE stuff ? lol
They’re nothing special. If they improve, the only destination they can reach is where kpop groups are now. So wtf is the point of supporting 365 AND hating kpop boy/girl bands ? Is this just about PATRIOTISM ?
August 17, 2011 at 11:14 PM
@Fluff
We’re sore losers because we’re complaining on here? Do you mind telling me what you’re doing? I never stated that I hate Kpop, by the way. You’re just assuming stuff. In fact, I enjoy listening to Kpop. But just because I enjoy listening to it, it doesn’t mean I (along with others up there) can’t express our dissatisfaction about it. The only reason why Kpop is even mentioned in the first place is because someone called 365 “Korean wannabes”. Is it wrong of us to come to a defense? Why should we sit back and let someone falsely (and narrow-mindedly) accuse them of so?
No, it’s not stupid. If this is a case of patriotism, I would also “cherish” VMusic, HKT, and all those other Vpop bands. But I DON’T. I support 365 because I like their music and the members appeal to me. I support Viet artists, but if their songs suck, I will not support them.
And please, do tell me what position Kpop is in right now. Outside of Asia, Kpop can’t even make it. Se7en, WG, and Boa all tried to enter the U.S. market, but do you hear from them now? No.
WTF is the point of you defending Kpop when you agree it IS overrated. LAME!
Let me introduce you to a word: preference. Yeah, go ahead. Look it up. Just because you think 365 is stupid, it doesn’t mean everybody else has to.
Ignorance is a choice, buddy. Don’t fall victim to it.
December 6, 2011 at 11:30 PM
Wow really good compared to what i heard in Vietnam.
Keep up the good work!!!!
This is best V-pop i’ve heard so far
Rooting for you guys
@fluff and whoever up there
Vietnam is a little bit late on this style of music but they are pretty good since they’re still in training.
