Apparently, the new trend for our stars these days is to attend charity events.  Here at VietChannel, we have reported on many.  Singers like My Tam (orphange), Thu Thuy (orphanage), Nathan Lee (jail), and even the VietNam Super Model 2009 competition has a charity event of its own.  These trips to orphanages, nursing homes, House of Love, etc have become part of the daily PR routine–a chance for these people to make the news the next day.

Of course it  is wonderful when people do it out of their own goodness, but to a certain extent where these acclaimed stars use it purely as a PR stunt, then the whole meaning of “benefiting charity” just gets abused.

But anyway, here are some pictures of Ung Hoang Phuc‘s trip to a nursing home where he sang and gave out gifts.  And yes, he even took the red beemer with him and parked it in the drive way.

PS: He will also be releasing his new album soon.

"See my beemer over there?"

The beemer

"Yea, it's the red one."

So are a singer?

So are you a singer? Are you VietNamese?
