Vampires are everywhere on screen these days it seems *coughTwilightcough*, and there’s one more flick to add to the mix.
This past week, it was announced that Asian superstar Maggie Q will costar with Paul Bettany (The Da Vinci Code, Inkheart) and Cam Gigandet (Twilight) in Priest, a film about a priest and priestess (Bettany and Maggie Q) who become vampire-hunters when they team up with a sheriff (Gigandet) to kick some blood-sucking ass for kidnapping the priest’s niece.
“Priest” is based on a TokyoPop graphic novel by Min-woo Hyung set in the American wild west. The film version will be adapted by Cory Goodman, and will be the feature-film directorial debut of Scott Stewart.
Q, an Asian action star who toplined “Mission: Impossible III” and “Live Free or Die Hard,” will play a priestess — a vampire hunter as tough as the priests — who also joins Bettany.
