zing top

It’s practically the end of another week and that meansss… we should just about be ready to do another quick update on Zing’s Top 5 songs of the week……starting…now.

As good as Tan Bien is, you’d have to admit that Ngo Kien Huy‘s “Gia Vo Yeu/Pretense Love” is the epitome of VietNamese music with it’s striking Kiem-Hiep-ish genre. For all we know, “Gia Vo Yeu” might just be the next “Vang Trang Khoc“–the infamous duet by Nhat Tinh Anh & Khanh Ngoc, currently with more than 1.4 million views on Youtube.

Coming in second is the once #1 “Tan Bien/Disappear” by M4U ft. Nguyen Hai Phong. Here’s a recent performance from the “Bai Hat Viet/VietNamese Songs” show.

Third, we have the most anticipated xi-tin duo– Noo Phuoc Thinh & Dong Nhi with their R&B remix of Noo’s hit song, “Neu/If“. If you liked the original, then you’ll love the remix.

At fourth place is another ballad hit, this one by a relatively unfamiliar face named Tan Khanh singing “Chuyen Tinh Duoi Mua/A Love Story Under the Rain“. Because it’s the 21st century and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t shallow, let’s face it–Tan Khanh is not necessarily the most attractive person out there. But hey, if he continues to display good vocals and songs, then we’ll definitely show some support.

With #s 1-4 all being VietNam’s most preferred genre, Ho Ngoc Ha manages to break through the stereotypical mainstream scene at #5 with her more upbeat hit “Xin Hay Thu Tha/My Apologies“. You can catch Ho Ngoc Ha & Suboi’s shoutouts via XoneFm radio–a nationwide music station in VietNam.
