With Ho Ngoc Ha‘s sudden stint of international glory, how could anyone forget about the talented young rapper featured in 2 of her latest hit singles (My Apologies & Girl’s Night) as well?

After establishing big names such as Phuong Vy, Pham Anh Khoa, Ho Ngoc Ha, Lieu Anh Tuan, Quoc Thien, etc, Music Faces’ latest addition of a young rapper called Suboi (real name Hàng Lâm Trang Anh) have definitely further proved them to be one of the most professional & diverse music label in the nation.

In a quick update by Yeah1, Suboi reveals that she and the company are indeed working on her own solo project. Her 8-track album is practically near completion and is predicted to drop late October.

In the same interview, after Yeah1 had brought up the fact that practically all of her songs/raps are in English, Suboi responds that she did have a song in VietNamese but because most of the feedbacks she received were negative, the girl feels a little more comfortable in English. Despite that, Suboi expresses that of course she would like to rap in her mother language and will probably even have a VietNamese track on her album.

A few fun facts:

Ironically, the young rapper loves skateboarding & metalcore/nu rock music. Her boyfriend also happens to be a Rocker. In an interview with Kenh14, Suboi reveals that she would also like to collaborate with him: “Because he plays the guitar, it’d be cool if some acoustics could be incorporated into one of my songs.”

It will be very rare for anyone to catch this 90-er donning makeup. Even to special events like XoneFm‘s 3rd anniversary party on Sept. 12, the girl came fresh & barefaced.

As a long term goal, Suboi also hopes to venture into graphic designing.
