After 3 preliminary rounds (from September 22, 2009 to January 10, 2010), the “Quả chuông vàng/Golden Bell Award 2009” finals finally took place this past January 17th at the HCMC music stadium (7 Công Trường Lam Sơn, District 1).

The awards, sponsored by the Vietnamese Advertisement Association, is created to honor the value of creativity in our domestic advertising industry, giving away a total of 185 million VND (9,990 USD) to winners. This year, the program even distributed additional awards voted upon by the press. Attendees included the 12 finalists’ teams,  the jury panel, many journalists/reporters and the night’s main performers: Ho Ngoc Ha, Thu Minh, Pham Anh Khoa, girlgroup Mat Ngoc, MC Anh Quan, and Dinh Ngoc Diep.

The competition’s results are as follows:

Vinaphone 3G’s 60 seconds commercial won the highest prize worth 25 million VND for being impressionable and interesting while conveying a clear message. The commercial also won “Best Jingle”.

Kotex pro – Life in Flux won “Best Message”

Kotex style – soft & smooth won “Best Director”

Big Zero Campaign – Beeline won both “Best Brand” and “Best Outdoor CM”

Lavie Bottled Water won “Best Cinematography”

Neptune – xuân sum họp won “Best Local Color” (song performed by Cam Ly & Dan Truong)

Nippon Paint won “Best Digital Effect” and “Press’s Choice”

SYM Joyride’s Anh hùng giữa đời thường/Every Day Life Hero won “Best Online Ad”.
