Just today (April 20th) at the Phu My Hung, District 7, the Crescent’s pedestrian bridge called Cau Anh Sao (Starlight Bridge) was officially inaugurated. While many stopped by to enjoy the beautiful scenic atmosphere, most stopped by to experience a 154 meter-long walk amongst the LED-lit stars (simulated by the lights on the ground).
With a fast-growing trend for modern urban areas, Vietnamese architecture has been greatly inspired by water which has brought a more unique appearance to the urban development. The Crescent – an iconic waterside project located in the heart of Phu My Hung’s international commercial and financial district, is a fitting symbol of some of the finest architectural works in Ho Chi Minh City.
Vodpod videos no longer available.
The starlight pedestrian bridge begins the 700 meter Crescent Walk which flows past four uniquely designed buildings and Crescent Mall. Three buildings provide stylish, fully furnished serviced apartments and the fourth offers premium office space.
The Crescent project features 22,000sqm retail strip with a huge mix of restaurants, bars, specialty shops and a giant size bookstore along a waterside boardwalk. The starlight bridge provides a linkage between the Crescent and Phu My Hung’s canal district.
A lighted path and illuminated waterfall, the bridge itself is a scenic feature and is anticipated to draw a lot of visitors upon its completion in early March 2010. Sitting along a beautiful river promenade with a fresh cool breeze flowing all the time, the Crescent is an architectural symphony which perfectly harmonizes with the natural setting to create an ideal destination for residents, customers, guests and visitors to enjoy a brand new lifestyle.

Yes, Vietnam is moving along in progress of more modern things. Most visitors are there for the culture and war memorial tours, etc but the Vietnamese people are looking more ahead and not its past.

Hi! I’d like to know how I can get to the Starlight Bridge from Ben Thanh Market. If I am to rent a motorbike, is there a safe parking area near the Bridge? Or would it be better if I take a public transport? Thanks! 🙂

Don’t waste your time to go to the Starlight Bridge because some of the led
are broken and hasn’t been fixed and there are nothing to do there. There is very expensive bars and coffee shop only.So you shouldn’t visit it.You should believe me because i am living in Vietnam,Ho Chi Minh and I also go to work in district 7.
