It’s that time of the year again!
It appears that Hoa Hoc Tro has obligated themselves to welcoming certain occasions and each change of season with some grand MV collab. Well, since upcoming is Spring and Tet is the country’s biggest biggie of the year, count on HHT to present Vpop with a little biggie of their own. Check out the new teaser for “Khuc Giao Mua” continuing the same “passing-something-on” concept featuring Phương Thanh, Đại Nhân, Chí Thiện, Đông Nhi, Thiên Minh, Khổng Tú Quỳnh, V.Music, Thảo Trang, Yến Trang, Trúc Diễm (possibly the worst singer ever, I’ll have you know), Hồ Vĩnh Khoa, HoaHocTro Icon Phương Linh, 365 Band, and even YanTV’s VJs Hoài Nam & Thiên Trang.
The MV is slated for a Jan 24th premiere.

My favorite time of year! I wish I could be in Viet Nam when it’s Tet.
I can’t wait for the MV. There are so many singers I like, it’s going to be epic. 😀

Wow. Good teaser! Love all the artists in their! I’m super hype for TET! Cause I’m actually going to VN when it’s TET! My first time actually in VietNam for TET!! I’m super happy right now! Only a few more days til I go!!!! 😀
@ emyeuVpop: Aw…don’t worry! You’ll have your chance sooner or later! It took us years to go to VN for Tet. It’s not as fun to enjoy TET over here then it is in VN. I DEFINITELY know how that feels. T_T I’m glad that chance has come! 🙂

@Snoie
I’m jealous. 😦
I soooooo badly want to go to Viet Nam. It’s always more festive over there and I really miss my family. I can only go during summer because I have school but I haven’t been back since FOREVER!
Can you hide me in your luggage? Pretty please? 😀
January 20, 2011 at 7:47 PM
@ emyeuVpop: Don’t be jealous. 🙂 I believe that going to VN in da summer is better than TET(from xperience of course), cuz you can be there for several months unlike TET, only 22 days, cuz there’s school in the way. 😦 Thats what I’m kinda sad about. T-T My family lives in the US, just my relatives are in VN. Lol. I would love to, but I’m afraid of the security and kidnapping charges. Lol. But seriously, does that work? I think it wouldn’t work, cuz of the new security systems at the airport. Have you heard of it?!?!? I’m kinda grossed out. Those security people will be able to see me naked!!!! That’s not right! 😦

@Snoie
But I am very jealous. lol I really wanted to attend this underground show right before Tet as well. grr
I heard people in Viet Nam party for 3 months for Tet. I don’t know if that’s true, but it must be exciting. 😀
I’ve been to Viet Nam in the summer once, it was okay. I was young at the time so I didn’t care for much haha. But I’ll be taking a lot of summer classes, so school would be in the way no matter what. 😦
Well, you don’t have to be afraid of kidnapping charges, because I am willingly doing this. Yikes! I forgot about the new scanners and pat downs. It makes a trip less exciting. I find both ways disturbing. 😮 This company came out with clothes that covers your private areas when you go through the scanner. Have you heard of them?
January 21, 2011 at 9:06 AM
@emyeuVpop: Really? Wat underground concert?!?! All I know of is 365 and the usuall concerts for Tet. Won’t go anywhere to see the concerts besides Dam Sen or Suoi Tien. Y-Y so yeah…..I think it’s only 3 days in VN. Dats wat I heard. I would love to see Cho/pho Hoa aka flower market/street in Saigon. Heard they have lots of flowers on Tet! 🙂 Oh, you must be really smart then. Just from curiosity, what career are u going into? My parents didn’t make take summer classes wen I was kid, it’s so we can go to VN every two years. Lol.
Lol. Idk if they’ll let u on board, cause of the heavy inspections. Only 50 lb per luggage. Kinda sad. T-T We can’t sneak more foods in our luggage to bring to VN n bak as we used to. I remember we had VN food that will last for three years but we go back every two years to fill up again. Lol. Nope, haven’t heard of those clothing that covered the private parts, just heard of the scary pat down n the freaky stripping scanner. Less exciting I kno, but it is a safety thing. T-T Darn them terrorist for ruining it for the rest of us. Well, I’m gonna find out soon about the new security tech at the airport. T-T not too happy about that… ;(

@Snoie
It’s a show featuring underground rappers. I think it’s going to be epic because these rappers are some of the best I’ve heard from Viet Nam. Their songs can be a bit explicit, but I’m fine with it. I mean, a lot of rappers use explicit language in their songs. Too bad they’re underground, because they’re ridiculously good. Anyway, if you’re interested, I’ve included the videos below.
OMG?! You’re going to Dam Sen?!?! I went to the amusement park there. I went on some of the rides, they were pretty scary. I was always scared a screw was loose or something. haha Oh! And I love the porcelain plated sculptures! They were so beautiful. I think they will have more for Tet. I would love to see the flowers as well! I bet the whole street on every street will be so decorative. sigh.. talking about it makes me want to go even more. I’ve never been to Suoi Tien.
I don’t think I’m smart lol. To be honest with you, I don’t know which major I want. I’m so undecided. You go to Viet Nam every two years? Lucky. I go every 10. 😦
Haha, I don’t know. That’s what my parents told me. Vietnamese people party for more than 3 days.
Who came up with the rules? 50 lbs per luggage is lame. The water limit is lame as well. I think you have an option of being scanned or patted, right? You would only have to do both if they sense something’s up with your scan. Good luck with that.
Sorry for making such long comments, Vietchannel. 😦

@emyeuVpop: Oooh! I know Andree Right Hands! Love his song De Anh Duoc Yeu with Shadow Phuong!!!! 🙂 Lol, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it. Would love to go, if I have the chance, but I’ll be busy with other stuff before Tet and after Tet. T_T
Yup, Dam Sen. So my mom can see Vang Trang Co Nhac. Lol. Haven’t went on the roller coaster yet, I’ve been on Suoi Tien’s. At first I was O_O, “Hm, what if…” and then I got on the ride, 🙂 it wasn’t bad. Hopefully, loose screws and technically difficulties are very rare in both amusement park. Lol. In Dam Sen, either summer or Tet, I love the phoenix, fishes, dragon, made up of only spoons, plates, and other eating utensil. Is that what you’re talking about? I’ve haven’t gone to Pho Hoa/ Cho Hoa yet, but hopefully it’s as beautiful as on tv. Suoi Tien is also good as Dam Sen, but it’s farther than Dam Sen, so yeah. We get free rides to Dam Sen on the public bus and it takes about 30 minutes or something from my grandma’s house to Dam Sen. 😀 If I could choose to live either in the US or VN, I would pick VN. The students gets to go to amusement parks as school trips and other fun places like every week. I’m jealous of my niece who goes to Dam Sen one week, to Vung Tau the next, and then Suoi Tien. They always get to go somewhere. T_T
Oh, every 10 years? Wow, that’s long. I’m a business major btw. ^^
Idk, who came up with the rules. Back then it was 70 lbs, now it’s only 50 lbs. T_T
I’m also guilty of making long long comments as well. 😦 Sorry VietChannel for not being on topic too. 😦 I feel bad. Sorry. 😦 😦
I recommend that VietChannel should embedded a chatbox or something for discussion not related to the post or something. Lol. Like http://chatango.com/ it’s a free chatbox for any forum or website. You can also get a personal one too! ^^ 🙂

@Snoie
You do? That’s cool. I haven’t listened to that song yet, but I will. I just found out about him a couple of days ago. Vpop artists aren’t coming out with a lot of songs right now, so I went underground and searched for artists. I’m shocked because the rappers I’ve found are really good. I really like Andree’s rapping style, but I kind of wish he would tone it down with the explicitness. I really LOVE Karik and Wowy’s rapping as well. They rap a lot about reality and their flow is really good. You have to call and set a table for the show, so it might take up some time. I just want to experience it. 😀
I don’t know about Suoi Tien, but at Dam Sen, the rides look pretty old and unsafe. The water ride as well. Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. I don’t recall seeing a sculture with spoons, but there were dragon porcelain plated ones. They are so creative! I want to see Pho Hoa as well. Gosh, it must be amazing. 😀
I haven’t been on the bus ride at Dam Sen, but I remember you do have to pay for some of the rides. Like the boat one. I think the money goes into renting the boat or something.
OMG! I would choose to live in VN as well. But that’s just my wishful thinking, because I don’t know how I’ll survive over there. lol
My parents told me we’ll go back to visit every 10 years or so (and I’m not even 20)! That was pretty upsetting. They won’t even let me go by myself.
Business major? That’s cool. How are the classes?
You might laugh at this, but back then, each person in my family brought about 3 carry ons and each were pretty heavy and it was okay. But now.. your options are so limited.
Most of the time I comment on here, it gets pretty long. I feel so bad and apologetic because I get off topic. 😦
January 22, 2011 at 1:02 PM
@emyeuVpop: Idk if the rides look old, but last time I saw in, in 2007, it doesn’t look old to me. Or maybe cuz I didn’t look at it closely. Lol. I got on the train ride, where you can see the whole park. My aunt has a friend who works in Dam Sen, and we occasionally get free rides. Lol. I love the bumper cars! Went on it several time with only one ticket. Lol. Yeah, I saw it was made of porcelain spoons, bowls and plates.
I know, I don’t even know how to survive over there, can’t live off my grandma forever. Lol. Aw…idk, but VN makes me super happy. 🙂 Aw…my parents said they will let me go with my sister and brother, but not by myself. lol. But it’s not fun without my parents going with me.
Business classes are not hard. It’s pretty easy and simple to me. So yeah. I got an associates, cause the college here is only two years. But I did get my general electives for transfer. I also have a associates degree in Accounting as well. 🙂
Oh, we carry a lot back to VN when the it was 70 lbs or more. Now, it’s not that heavy, cause it’s only 50 lbs each. T_T
I know. I’m also guilty. If only this place has a chatbox or something. Lol. I won’t get off topic and post off topic comments. Lol. I hope VietChannel is reading this comment?? Don’t get mad at me. I’ll try not to do it again. Lol. 🙂

I have a silly question? what the differences between hoa hoc tro and muc tim? which one is more popular?
January 26, 2011 at 2:32 AM
@Snoie
Sorry for the late response, school got to me. The last time I went was in 2003 or 2004 and that was quite some time ago. It looked pretty old to me. haha I didn’t get to go on the train rides or bumper cars.
My favorite is the scenery on the boat ride. I didn’t get to go on that either, but my family did and they said it was a lot of fun (minus the paddling). I stayed behind and watched the scenery.
You’re lucky. I wish I could get the hook up like you.
I wish I can live off my relatives over there.. but they have trouble providing for themselves already. I’ll just be a burden. I agree, I prefer my whole family go as well. It’s much more fun and I feel safer.
I’m taking an accounting course right now. Was it hard for you? Woah, so you’re a double major? 😮
I know! We used to carry a lot back and forth as well. We would pack tons of foods like dry fish and stuff. Although that doesn’t weigh much, but we also bought many things.
Haha, it kills me everytime I comment on here. I always tell myself not to comment so much but end up going off topic. I feel guilty EVERYTIME! I hope I’m not irritating the readers. 😦

It’s truly very complicated in this active life to listen news on TV, thus I simply use internet for that reason, and get the hottest news.
