Of all the places to be seen donning what someone else already wore, our Lap Trinh Cho Trai Tim/Programming the Heart’s lead actress, Quynh Nga, and Miss Vietnam runner-up 2000 turned famous MC, Ngoc Oanh, were both unfortunate enough to have been spotted at the most important annual red carpeted event with recycled looks.

Yesterday ( 27/1), the highly anticipated musical Nhung Nu Hon Ruc Ro/Radiant Kisess officially premiered in HCMC at  the Lotte Mart cinema to a celebrity-packed audience.  Just a week ago at the same venue, Cong Chua Teen va Nam Ngu Ho Tuong/Teen Princess and the Five Brave Generals ALSO held a star-studded premiere. So if the Canh Dieu Vang (Golden Kite) Awards are VietNam’s answer to the Oscars, I guess we can say that the Mai Vang Awards are somewhat of our Golden Globes. Only…maybe not as fancy schmancy or flashy…schmashy (?).
